Through the patronage of IBM Belgium, the FWO annually awards the "IBM Innovation Award" in recognition of an outstanding Ph.D. thesis, defended in 2021, that presents an original contribution to informatics or its applications in one of the following fields: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics & Big Data, Cyber Security, (Hybrid) Cloud Computing and Quantum Computing. The informatics part of the work must be both thorough and advanced. Applications must be submitted by 4 March 2022. Detailed information and the application form are available on FWO’s website.
Objective
IBM attaches great importance to promoting research in informatics and its applications. Through the patronage of IBM Belgium, the FWO awards an annual "IBM Innovation Award".

Profile and conditions
You are a postdoctoral researcher who has obtained his/her Ph.D. thesis from a Flemish University or the Royal Military Academy between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021.
You are affiliated with a recognized university or the Royal Military Academy at the time of the deadline (March 4th, 2022).
